Program: 3dVirtualEmbroidery By: Target Embroidery Systems Version: Demo Preview OS: Mac OS (7.1 and Up) Author: Humberto Lizarraga V. Date: June 1996 ============================================================== What is 3dVirtualEmbroidery? Is a little application that reads an embroidery file (Tajima), displays it on the screen in life-like 3d look, and has the option to save the screen as a graphic file (PICT file). For who is 3dVE? Mostly for embroidery-related people, punchers (the people who makes embroidery files) and embroiderers (the people that have embrodery machines), but also for everyone who want to take a look of what the commercial embroidery world is. What uses does 3dVE have? Basically 5: a) To make virtual proofs of embroidery programs (and send them by eMail). b) To make printed embroidery catalogs (instead of taking photos) c) To make electronic catalogs (and publish them in the WWW!!!) d) To make patches (for screenprinters) that look like embroidery e) For fun!!! everyone (and embroidery-relateds more) will love to look how the embroidery file does "stitch" virtually. For what kind of computers is 3dVE designed? It has been developed only for any color capable Apple Macintosh computers. Wich price will 3dVE have? 3dVE will sell at $149.00 USD. Will 3dVE be compatible with any embroidery punching system? With any Punching system that can save in TAJIMA format (Tajima is a major embroidery machine brand). Why 3dVE is only for Mac and only for Tajima? The reason is simple. To keep 3dVE cost as low as possible and release it as soon as possible. However, as many people has asked about a PC/Windows version, We are considering to develop a PC version in the future. A note to PC users: the prices for embroidery systems are very high. According with stitches Magazine the average price for a punching system is $22,000 (yes, twenty two thousand dollars). And if you want the 3d option that only a few ones have, you will need to pay a lot more. 3dVE is a very cheap program. I you don't use a Mac for punching we encourage you to take the demo to a friend's mac and give it a chance. It maybe have sense to get a mac. About the Tajima format, we consider that any punching program can save in Tajima format, but if many people ask for it, we can make it to read another embroidery format. Why 3dVE does save only in PICT file format? For the same reasons above. Pict is the standard graphic format for the mac. 3dVE is not a graphic format converter, is not an embroidery format converter and is not a punching system. It is a 3d viewer for embroidery programs. Is there a Demo for 3dVE? Yes, a demo version is available. How is the demo limited versus the complete version? The demo can't save Pict files. In the demo the color sequence can't be altered. I like to buy the complete version of 3dVE.... Please send check for $149.00 in US dollars payable to: Humberto Lizarraga Golondrina #39. Fovisste La Rosita Torreon, Coahuila Mexico.
